Review: Lessons in Sin

Lessons in Sin Lessons in Sin by Pam Godwin
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Holy Moly Father Magnus! This book is dark and delicious and sweet and romantic all tied together with a dirty, naughty bow. Pam Godwin does an exceptional job of setting up the characters at the beginning of the story so you feel the injustice of Tinsley's situation, she is an 18 year old adult being forced to attend a all female religious boarding school against her will. Her care placed in the hands of the Catholic Priest Father Magnus, who believes in the use of corporal punishment.

I must admit I struggled with the first 25%-30% or this book. I was angry for Tinsley and did not enjoy Father Magnus' approach. I even considered DNFing, I was having such big emotions. But boy am I glad I didn't! This book was amazing! The character development and arcs drew me in. It is impressive that Pam Godwin was able to get such an emotional reaction so quickly in the book. As i moved though the story, I was able to see that the parts I didn't like at the time were integral to the story and hindsight improved my perspective of everything as well.

This is such a beautiful taboo romance. A true story of love between souls and a testament to people finding their counterpoint in another. Tinsley and Magnus are soulmates and #relationshipgoals and I loved everything about this book.
If you like Dark, Taboo, Extra Hot romance then this is a must read!
