Review: Blame it on the Vodka

Blame it on the Vodka Blame it on the Vodka by Fiona Cole
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I was so excited for Rae and Austin and I COULD NOT PUT THIS BOOK DOWN!!!

Sorry for the shouty capitals, but honestly, Fiona Cole spins a story in such a captivating way, within the first two chapters I felt, angst, tension, yearning, anger and disgust. I had picked sides and was damning the villain and the book had barely begun.

Rae is the fiercest and stubbornest heroine she digs her heels in and refuses to bend or break. I love that fire in her, that she is independent and holds her head high. Throughout this book we do see more vulnerability from her. We see what is behind the vibrato and Rae learns to come to terms with the fact that maybe she isn't made of steel.

Austin, oh Austin... this is a book boyfriend for the ages! He is the reason I love a good friends to lovers. His devotion, attraction, persistence and patience is everything. He is surprisingly dirty! For a Fiona hero I guess it is not that surprising but Holy Dirty Talk Batman! This spice is everything!

I absolutely loved loved loved this book! Can be read as a standalone or as part of a series. The important thing is you must read this book.
