Review: Deliver Us From Evil

Deliver Us From Evil Deliver Us From Evil by Monica James
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

**3.5 Stars**

Monica James delivered a solid ending to a trilogy full of intensity, violence and love. I am thrilled that Punky and Babydoll finally get their HEA. This epic finale was full of lots of twists and turns, secrets and deceptions. Some crossovers from another series show up that had me so excited I cheered out loud. This book had some very creative dark and violent scenes. The kind of creative that if I were MJs spouse I might sleep with one eye open.

Babydoll/Cami proves herself to be the fierce heroine Punky needs in this story and it was fun watching her come into her own and take her place next to him.

There were some moments where the drama became a little too outrageous, and the characters didn't seem physically impacted by injuries that took place pages before. This took me out of the story a little bit, but overall I was sucked in turning pages late into the night (or morning as it were).

If you are looking for a trilogy with an antihero, the Irish mafia, star crossed lovers and lots of darkness and depravity look no further, this series is for you.

I received an ARC of this book and voluntarily give my review.
I recommend checking the trigger warnings before reading this book

Review: Fallen Rose

Fallen Rose Fallen Rose by Amelia Wilde
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This series gets better and better I am here for it! Haley has been taken by her Aunt, and Leo is ready to burn the world down for her! Leo Morelli, the Beast of Bishop's Landing finally comes out to play and he is angry, violent and delicious. This is Alpha hero catnip for sure! He shows his true self in this story and I fell even more in love with this fictional antihero.

The story is fast paced and full of lots of action. Haley grows her confidence in herself and their relationship. The reader also gets more of Daphne's story and I can't wait to see what happens with her and her Collector.

Caroline Constantine is such a loathsome villain, and all the books in the Midnight Dynasty series paint the picture of a truly horrible person, the kind of character you just can't stand. She is really positioned as the villain of this whole world and gets worse with each book.

Haley and Leo are my favorite couple and my favorite trilogy in a world full of addicting stories. If you only read one Midnight Dynasty series this is the one I suggest.

Review: Riley Thorn and the Corpse in the Closet

Riley Thorn and the Corpse in the Closet Riley Thorn and the Corpse in the Closet by Lucy Score
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Riley Thorn books are just hands down funny and fun. Completely enjoyable. I was smiling the whole way through. This story picks up seconds after the first book ends. While it is a continuation of the story, there was enough information provided that it could be read as a stand alone. Riley and Nick and the whole mansion gang are back for more psychic visions, humor, banter and witty antics. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and have already recommended it to a few people to add to their summer reading list. This is a great summer read or book club pick.
