This story was hot and angsty and picks up exactly where Book 1 in the series "Firsts" ended. A lot of the questions that I had after the first book were answered, but even more questions were asked. I loved the trio of narrators and getting to understand the background and personalities of Brax and Silas. The narrators were phenomenal and I devoured this audiobook in one sitting. I can't wait to get my hands on book 3.

I absolutely loved this book! MJ is such a strong independent woman, I really like how she gave Cullen a run for his money. I adored all the supporting characters and found it refreshing that Cullen's mother was open and loving. I feel like the so often the mother is stuck up or judgmental. I can't wait for Savannah's book! One click this! It is totally worth it!

Review: Firsts

Firsts by C.L. Matthews

This book was quick and very enjoyable. These characters cover a lot of ground and there are lots of unexpected twists, turns and mystery. The story is a little dark, very romantic and taboo, taboo, taboo. The narrators do an amazing job, especially with bilingual characters. I wish I spoke Spanish so I could understand the few phrase that were not translated. I recommend if you enjoy books that are a little unique, dirty and unconventional.

I wasn’t sure what to expect with this one from Alexa Riley. You’re laughing right, expect quick dirty fun you say? Well yes I knew I would get that, but with a title like Pretty Virgin it didn’t really give the plot away. I was very surprised by the amount of mystery between Skyler and Jason, and I loved how Jason tried to control his possessive alpha nature.

Review: Can't Text This

Can't Text This by Teagan Hunter

I was excited for this book having really enjoyed books 1 and 2 in this series. The story was sweet, and unique. I love a good single dad trope and this one did it well. I really wanted to know more about Monty's background, and while we got a taste i felt like there was so much more there that I was left wondering about. Overall the story was great, the banter was witty and it reminded me of the banter my husband and I had when we first started dating. I was slightly disappointed in the narration. Emma Wilder was phenomenal as always, she has such distinction in her voices and really does male voices well. At one point i got into my car and she was reading a text from Python and i was unsure if i was listening to the male or female narrator. This was my first book narrated by Rudy Sandia and his main character voice was pleasant to listen to, but some of the supporting characters i didn't like as much and it became a little distracting. This book did continue to reinforce that Teagan Hunter is one of my new favorite Rom Com authors, and I can't wait to read more of her books.

Review: The Friend Zone

I was given an ARC of this book and voluntarily give my review. This book has everything a romantic comedy should, a sweet story, hilarious moments, witty banter, but it is also surprisingly real and relatable, with heart wrenching moments that brought tears to my eyes. Abby Jimenez writes about challenging issues that don't often get a voice in the romance novel world. This might be my favorite book of the year so far. I loved that it took place in my neck of the woods (Burbank, Canoga Park and Los Angeles) I could picture the locations that were mentioned vividly, because I have been there. I also felt that the push and pull between the hero and heroine was realistic. She didn't fall all over him because he demanded it, she made her own decisions, and they weren't always the ones the reader wanted her to make, but not once did I roll my eyes and think "That would never happen".... I take that back, getting from Canoga Park to Malibu during rush hour would definitely take more than 45 minutes ;)
Lastly, without giving away spoilers, I need to say that the Author's Note at the end of the book was beautiful and caused some tears because I was able to relate to parts of this story very strongly.

I vehemently encourage everyone with a soft spot for love to read this book.
