About the Authors: Erin Spencer & Emma Sable
Erin Spencer and Emma Sable are two Southern girls who met in L.A. at a mutual friend's engagement party. They bonded over their shared love of fried shrimp, queso and The Golden Girls. After a girls' night out in Hollywood to celebrate Emma's birthday, the two were inspired to begin writing The Yes Factor, their first novel together.
To celebrate finishing the novel, Erin and Emma travelled to the Amalfi coast where they enjoyed a week of sunshine, pasta and Pinot Grigio. And where a few notes might have been scribbled for their next book, too!
Erin lives in L.A. and Emma now lives in London.

About the Narrator: Ava Erickson
After sailing around the world and watching nearly a thousand sunsets from the bow of her boat like a true Viking, Ava Erickson settled down and started telling stories. Those stories can be anything from laugh-out-loud-funny rom-coms to ones with a more sexy twist. When she found out she was nominated for an Audie for her audiobook narration, she called all her girlfriends together and went to Provence, France, where they drank rosé and ate lots of bread and butter.

I have heard so many wonderful things about thisnovel since it's release. The primary thing that my friends and fellow romance readers made very clear was that this was not a love story it is classified as women's fiction. Unfortunately I think I disagree. This is a love story. It is about the love of two friends from childhood who have grown in different directions but can still come together to support each other. It is a love story about putting yourself first in your life and realizing that your path may not be the path that others see for you.
Liv has been living in London with her husband of 9 years, but life is not as perfect as the facade she presents. She makes the journey to LA to help Becks get back into the dating scene, which is what she wants for her best friend.
I adored the journey of Liv and Becks' friendship. As an LA native and former theater kid, I loved the musical theater references and LA descriptors they were spot on. Though I am now going to scour Ventura Blvd for a second hand couture shop. The people they met and places they went were realistic and vivid while still over the top and outrageous.
Liv's matchmaking skills left something to be desired. This part of the book occasioned a lot of resentful emotions towards Liv. I see her projecting her own feelings of dissatisfaction on Becks but not considering her friends feelings. I think Liv is pushing her so she can live vicariously through Beck's and it shows how their friendship has grown apart through their distance since Liv moved to the UK. At one point Becks' called her the wingwoman from hell and she is not far off.
Ultimately this story to me is about finding the power within yourself to live the life you want with who you want. A beautiful story of friendship and navigating the LA dating scene during your second wind.
This book is Expertly narrated by Ava Erickson and Andi Arndt and their pairing is pure perfection. They both inject a lot of humor and emotion into their characters and it was extremely enjoyable to listen to.
I adored this story and think it would be well loved by a broad spectrum of readers. I plan to share this book with friends, and family and will recommend to anyone who is looking for good book.
