Review: Vicious King

Vicious King Vicious King by Natalie Kane
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have loved each king of Vegas more than the last and Carson is my favorite. He is so dark and growly and possessive and I absolutely adore him. I was so concerned about who Carson's love interest was going to be, and how this assassin and widower was going to get over the loss of the love of his life. I could not stop listening to this book, Connor Crais was phenomenal as Carson, Every single scene, every growly line was better than the last. Stella Hunter was amazing as always as Reina. Reina is such a fighter and strong character and Stella Hunter's performance really portrayed all of that strength. I absolutely love this series by Natalie Kane and I'm sad its over! You absolutely have to add this one to your TBR!

Review: Mine Again: Sunflower Book One

Mine Again: Sunflower Book One Mine Again: Sunflower Book One by Andrea Thome
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is my first time reading Andrea Thome and this was such a fun, romantic small town story It felt like curling up in a warm blanket with a cup of cocoa. Ranger, voiced by Sebastian York was a much more vulnerable than I expected from a very recently divorced farmer single dad and local high school band teacher who meets someone who interests him for the first time in forever. Delilah narrated by Andi Arndt is a traveling lawyer who is a constantly rolling stone. She is not the person who should get involved with a man like Ranger who is so ingrained in the community. They develop such a sweet friendship and their chemistry is so palpable. There were many times in this book where they communicated like adults and avoided a miscommunication trope which I loved, but there were also moments where I wanted to yell at Delilah for her choices.

I loved Sunflower Montana and I really hope we get some more books in this series, I especially hope to get one for Jesse James and Ivy! I also really want Florence to get an HEA!

I loved the narration and duet production and I know I will read Andrea Thone again!

Review: Threshing Day

Threshing Day Threshing Day by Rebecca Yarros
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What a fun addition to this series, with lots of little crumbs for us conspiracy theorists to dwell on for years! I loved getting to see the bonds form for some of our favorite characters and hearing the voices and personalities of the dragons. I was hoping for POVs from dragons, but that likely would have turned a 200+ page book to a 500 page book :P.

Review: The Slayer Seduction

The Slayer Seduction The Slayer Seduction by Sarah Blue
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I've really enjoyed this series, it has been a fun Halloween time read with some paranormal characters and the spice that I have come to expect from Sarah Blue. This one was a bit of a stretch for me since its an MFM, but also not. There are 2 MMCs but they share a body. It was definitely a first for me and while it was done very well, I am not sure it's a micro trope I will seek out in the future. The fox familiar was such a fun addition with her addiction to reality TV and affection for the Slayer. This was definitely a fun and easy read. It was fast paced and while there was high tension the pace of the story kept everything moving forward.

I received an ARC of this book and voluntarily give my honest review.

Review: Moby

Moby Moby by Jessa Kane
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The year is 2025 and a saucy den mother to an amazing group of romance audio readers pulls and April fools joke about whale smut. What she didn't expect was for the feral response and genuine desire for krill play. That desire sparked their white whale herself, Jesse Kane to write Moby and let me tell you a fun time is had by all. I was absolutely tickled listening to this audio rendition narrated by Sean Masters and Samantha Brentmoor. This story is absolutely unhinged in the best way!

Review: High Seas Heat

High Seas Heat High Seas Heat by Sarah Blue
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I am convinced that Sarah Blue infuses narcotics into her books because they are so flipping addicting! She writes omegaverse that I just can't put down. As someone with motion sickness, who has not had great experiences on cruise ships, I was a little wary that I wouldn't be able to get into the story but I never should have doubted the characters or the writing. I absolutely fell for Claire and her alphas. I deeply related to her feeling sea sick on the ship and loved her meet cute with Forrest. I really enjoyed the dynamic between Claire's alphas, and that while omega verse always has a bit of an instalove quality to it, this omega and these alphas spent time courting and getting to know each other. I also loved seeing the parents from the Heat Haven series.

I'm just sad I can't read it for the first time again.

I received an arc of this book and voluntarily give my honest review.

Review: Caught by the Convicts

Caught by the Convicts Caught by the Convicts by Jessa Kane
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Jessa Kane in audio is one absolutely wild ride and Caught by the convicts was the biggest story in a novella! Talk about fitting a lot into a little package, we have a FMC who is trying to battle her demons, 2 MMCs who are in prison, have some hard truths to deal with and the lust and spice between these three is absolutely off the charts. Not an audiobook to listen to in public because even the best of us will have facial expressions that give it away. Shane East, Sean Masters and Mollie Stark hold nothing back with their performances. At times Shane East gave his all so intensely I needed to turn the volume down in my headphones. I think these novellas have become quite the passion project for the producers and narrators working on them, and it definitely shows in the quality and attention to detail.

I received this ALC and voluntarily give my honest review.
