Review: The Shepherd
The Shepherd by Cara Dee
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I don't know how to review this beautiful book. Cara Dee is masterful in her writing. Every review I write about her books waxes poetic about how she crafts characters and story in a way that instantly draws you in and builds connection to the characters. The Shepherd is no different. Greer and Sloane and Archie have a complex and messy history and relationships. She is writing a multi-faceted kink club world unlike one I have read about before. It's not all kink, happy endings and HEAs.
Greer an Sloan have been best friends for 15 years, never crossing a line or boundary. Their connection is undeniable and watching the push and pull of their friendship as they discover how they move forward was beautiful. Archie and Greer have a second chance romance that is romantic and kinky. This whole book really focuses on the reality of living the lifestyle and it is more than scenes and nights at the McLean house. This book ended on a bit of a cliffhanger and I need the next book yesterday! I can't wait for the next installment of this story.
I received an ARC of this book and voluntarily give my honest review.
